Hey! I'm in Seattle right now, waiting and waiting and waiting for my train.  I'm right downtown by the football stadium and there is a game today.  Lots of screaming fans.  

For those of you with cable, LOGO will be showing my video for Always In Your Mind tonight at midnight on their NEW NOW NEXT program.  TV!!!  Check it out, because it will look much better on a bigger screen than on one of those little youtube size squares.  You know what I mean?  I think you do.

I'm somewhere in Oregon.  It's Thursday.  We have a day off.  The shows with Damien Jurado (3 so far), have been really rewarding.  He (and his band) are so good and such awesome people.  We have two shows left - Portland and Seattle.

So, I'll be brief.  I'm in Chicago. It's raining.  I'm in layover mode waiting for my 2nd train to take me to California.  I've been watching The Wire Season 1 (late to the party I know).  I've been reading Denis Johnson's, "Tree of Smoke".  I've been sleeping whenever I can find 2 open seats to stretch out in.

I'm super-excited to play these shows this week.  Be sure to keep an eye on the Matablog too as I'll probably do some west-coast record store visits and maybe some restaurant blogging.  I got a lot of recommendations, especially for Portland.  Thank you, Leslie.

Lastly, I can't remember if I told this to you via myspace, or email or one of the 11 million other electronic ways of reaching out we all do these days...but there are bonus tracks avail in certain places when you buy Here With Me online.  When you get it through Itunes you get a bonus Replacements cover and when you buy it through Amie Street you get and original track called Lightbulb (which I really wanted on the record but it just didn't fit somehow).  It's like super super pop rock.  If you are into that sort of thing....
